300 hp is easy to achieve on stock ecu.

U really only need AEM EMS around 450WHP +

If it was the same amount of money I would go with the AEM.

It also depends on if you care about getting your inspection done, in NYC its very difficult to accomplish this now. I was thinking of going AEM, but there is no way i can pass the obd2 check. So evo ecu it is. BTW if anyone has one for sale let me know.

if 300 is where you stop, just reflash the stock ecu, but if you wanna go more then AEMEMS

i just bought an 2003 evo VIII ecu and immobilizer off this forum, and it was way cheaper than AEM EMS. all you pretty much would need is the ecu and immobilzer then work out whatever CEL's it throws. no sensors required
EMS on the other hand will run you $1000 used with maybe half the sensors you'll need.

He wants too much for it. I can get it for much cheaper. Wiring the ecu is not a problem, and the codes that it produces are not that difficult to remove. So if you are looking to operate in 300hp range then this should be your best option.
