Maybe I'm just crazy but there is no dump, its literally a buttefly valve like the one infront of our throttle cable, what the heck is it used for?

No quite the opposite far as I've been told.

Its noise dampening up to 3k rpms then they should open up fully.

I've seen them. They are supposed to keep the exhaust quiet with the valve closed if you live in a area where cops will harrass you for it. Then you can open it up when you need/want the power.

thats a bad idea... if you close it too much then youll have no exhaust flow... and somethings gonna give...

Probably not too stupid if the inner flow diameter is at least 2.25" while closed. Will provide a pretty good reduction in sound without causing severe consequences. Hey, if super cars have them, then why not. I just wouldnt go full throttle with it closed.

Ferrari's and Lambo's don't have turbos......... How would a butterfly valve still provide 2.25 inches of exhaust when closed????/
