How many USDM 2006 Evo MRs?

Apologies if this was already covered in another thread, but I've been
researching 2006 Evo IX's on this great site for over 2 weeks and have not
seen this topic discussed.

So I was at a nearby Mitsu dealer and he was saying that there are
only 1000 USDM 2006 Evo 9 MRs so therefore this model will be
a collector's item. Since we were standing next to an MR with the SE
package, there is a slight chance that he meant MR with the SE
package when he said 1000 MRs.

Anyone know for sure?

That's BS. There are like a million of those damn things.

Everyone and their grandma who has a evo 9 has a MR.

No, there were 1000 05 MRs made in the US, and is the only limited edition. The 2006 MR was only made for the US and is just a rebadge to make us happy - it's not a true MR and is not a limited edition.

It's common knowledge to most. Before responding like this, it would behoove you to go read up on it yourself. I'm not making this up.

Somehow rare? The SE wasn't made until late in the IX model year, and it wasn't a whole year's worth, so it seems pretty obvious that not only is the SE rare in general, but a IX SE MR would be even more rare. However, it's just got some minor cosmetic differences from the regular IX mr - it's not a different model.

i thought there is no such thing as MR SE, there is only MR with SE stuff on it but it's called SE. cause if u look at a MR with se stuff in it, the badge still just say MR.

Ok so anyone who would rather help a fellow Evo owner rather than say search to every question asked, who knows why the MR isnt a real MR.

If it was a Tarmac Black IX MR with the appearance package, it is probably more rare. People here have said only 500 made. I haven't found an exact number yet. deealerships usually don't have a clue; they just want to sell you the car.

There's a IX SE that has some of the MR goodies, and there's a IX MR SE with all of the MR and SE goodies.
