i just bought a used 05 evo and i looked at the ecu..its been reflashed and runs 5 degrees advance at peak throttle... is this to much?

 

I would contact one of the tuners on this site and ask that question.

Plus that is a bit technical for the newbie section of this site.

You know...I'd recommend getting the TACTRIX cable and the Evoscan software. It`s pretty cheap. Then send your ECU file off to someone like JESTR(or Al at DynoFlash) and have them Email you a safe base flash for your car`s particular mods and the octane gas you run.
