Go with one of the mddle springs. I think it is the blue one but I don't remember. You will get some partial throttle fluttering but it's not bad and it will hold boost.

Put the stiffest spring back in....

Try cleaning the MAF sensor.
Adjusting the air screw located on the throttlebody helps with idle, and throttle response.
If your running the stock ECM, have a tuner bump the idle up for you.

Cause you drive the car and 20-22 Ibs of boost is alot of boost. I have used that valve before. Anything less than the red spring, part throttle flutter was a biotch. Surge also isnt healthy for the snail.

You have a flash? Try and adjust the Idle air screw.
First and formost is making sure you have no leaks...

My idle is set for 1100 for the 280 cams...so maybe 950-1000 is you have anything less.

I use a vacuum gauge to adjust the Idle air screw. Adjusting to aquire the greatist amount of vacuum shown by the gauge.

it seems in my case it's the opposite surge aint bad with the weaker spring, but when i have the red the car jerks and does all types of stupid stuff, but i feel like i lose power with the weaker spring.
what valve do u have now, what are those shims for that come with the forge, should i use those?

thanks driftking

The forge Bov your using isnt the greatest.Thats the older version your using.(the ones with the springs). I had the same problems as you when i had this valve in my 03 8.Use a stock IX valve and you will have no problems. That or a forge RS.

The shims are there if the red spring is still not stiff enough...
You might want to have the tuner take a look at the low speed mapping and timing. Most tuners tune for WOT...and the rest is untouched.

I went with a Tial.
After looking at many race cars and high doller tuner rides at car shows, race events. There is a reson why the fastest cars all run a Tial.
Ever since, I love it. Performs flawlessly, sounds aggressive. I have the stiffest spring available. No idle problems. Jestr tuned.
