waste gate dump

not sure if anyone has attempted to add a wastegate dump on the stock waste gate actuator...my friend owns a shop and works on dsm's all day and night..he said it will be no problem, he just needs to know if the turbo is divided in 2 passages or 1...how do you guys feel about this? personally i like the noise and was told no power loss, if anything maybe a few hp gain with the open dump....give me some feedback thanks
