Running a b.o.v. vta on evo ix
Now im not saying that you should or that this benifits your car in anyway. I am just showing how i ran my greddy rs bov vta without any stalling or loss of power. The only reason did this was i got this bov for free and wanted to give it a shot. all i did was plug the hole on the intake pipe that normally recirculates too.

oh and video of it running properly ... http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y26...t=DSCF0107.flv

plugging up the recirculation hole in the intake does not get rid of the stalling. you have to do that in order to run vta bov, or else you will be pulling air through the hole and it will def throw a cel. but what you did you have to do in order to run that type of bov. the greddy rs's are horrible as well. the type s is the way to go but the hard part is finding one because they dont make them anymore.
I wouldnt advise running VTA unless you're in a situation like mine (my old bov couldnt hold the boost I was running and I could get Tial products for free).
You go fat in shifts and the car will stumble from a roll with the clutch in or in neutral.

personally i tested the greddy type-rs bov and i have to admit that i am happier with the stock unit... No stalling issues but i didn't like the way that made the car drive.
Not smooth at all and on partial throttle especially in 4th and 5th gear it was very jerky...
Staying with the stock unit until the install of the piping kit, which probably with be installed allong with a Tial unit...
