Noob Questions on Exhausts?

I've been searching on the exhaust and i'm totally lost on which one to get, i've heard ams and buschur racing are one of the best ones out there, i want an exhaust thats not to loud but a noticeable difference from the stock one also the most performance based/ lightest.

I was also looking into the jun bl v band and greddy Titanium Exhaust which i read was one of the lightest?
and didn't understand weather to go with a cat-delete- pipe, high flow cat... etc. and how hard would it to be to pass emissions or change the exhaust (seems easy) don't mind changing exhaust to pass emissions just don't want to get in trouble for not having a cat.
but mainly want most hp and lightest weight, just got some gauges so wanted to through everything on and head up to topspeed to get a tune.

thanks

The Greddy costs more for the cat-back than some full TBEs. There's no reason to get it when it costs so much but only saves 8lbs or so...

I have HKS and I love it (the noise level is just perfect). I think it's pretty loud outside, but what do I care? I love the inside

if you know it's gonna be a noob question, don't click the thread. I imagine 15,000 of your posts are telling ppl to use the search function

btw, i have nothing useful to add as far as which exhaust to get....if you do end up searching you'll find there are many different opinions on this, usually everyone just recommends what they currently are using

There are going to be trade-offs. You cant really have your cake and eat it too. If you want it to be quiet it's not going to make as much power as if it was less restrictive. The Greddy Ti is the loudest cat back that i know of, also one of the most expensive and it makes good power for a cat-back. For the price you can buy a nice v-band turbo back. If you want quiet and light think BR with a magnaflow. I think the Magnaflow makes it a little heavier but it will be mellow sounding. Also the invidia sound clips sound mellow but I havent heard one in person.

I had a bad experience with the HKS Ti, the resonator rubbed on my driveshaft and I had a difficult time figuring out where it was rubbing becuase it had over 1/2" of clearance there but evidently thats not enough. No amount of adjustment would fix it - short of a hammer. It's mellow sounding but that's because it has a resonator and a fairly restrictive muffler. Also, the entire exhaust is not really 3" and the muffler is probably 2.75" and it necks down at the cat. It hangs real low and doesnt have parking curb clearance and has the possiblity to drag on the ground in bad dips. It looks fantastic though if your into that sort of thing.

I've got a Tannabe TBE, it's loud as hell.
