STI Shiftknob on a IX MR???

I was wondering if the STI shift knob will fit the IX MR. I am getting tired of the MR shiftknob because it gets too cold in the morning. I was wondering if the STI will fit since it has the reverse ring on it as well. Anyone tried this?

Just curious, why does it have to be an STI knob? Why can't you just go aftermarket?

Well, I can't find a nice shiftknob that will fit the MR... I would want something like the momo air-leather but that won't fit. Someone is selling the sti to me for $20.

nah i hear ya, here in CT its gets so cold during the winter and hot in the summer that the MR shifter is unbearable either way, so use the regular 5 speed knob fits fine i actually like it a little more and it just unscrews whenever i want to use the MR one...try that i got that knob for like 5 bucks off a guy here...

No, it won't fit. Subaru shift levers are quite a bit larger in diameter.
