let me know if you get this problem resolved. I have a weird noise as well. It's like metal chattering. I'm not really usre what it is. My car seems to be running find. keep in mind I baby the **** out of my car, so I do get why I have this noise. I've had the worst of luck with this car. I hope get to enjoy it without worrying so much. Anyways are you going to upload that video. i will try to post a video of mine that way you can hear it.

I find that it's getting harder and harder to trust the Mitsu dealerships. Their service seems to be lacking.

What about trying a local mechanic? Perhaps a friend who will take the time after work to crawl under with you and check it out?

 

well i do have a shop that i go to and it's one of my friend, but he lives about 1 hour away from me, i work tuesday-sunday 11-9. so i really don't have time to go there. i don't know if u can hear anything in the video, cause it was a cold start. but i think u can hear a little bit when i put the camera above the tires.

 

this is exactly what my noise is after 13k. I removed the serpentine belt and it still made the noise. Great thread! I knew that it was the timing belt of timing blets pulleys for sure, but now I see that there is a lot of people having the issue!!
I'm gonna have to take it to the dealer and hope they won't wanna void my warranty.... Thanks guys.
