Eager to Learn
How's everybody? A quick question for you do-it-yourself gurus. I might be moving my family into our first home am am really excited because it has a garage. I would love to spruce it up and strat working on the EVO myself for basic mods but have VERY little experince working on cars.(Raised by single mom: no cool uncle in the shop: friends hate to teach) I searched the forums but couldn't find any info. Does anyone know of a good way to get started on learning the basics of working on the Evo? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Start with doing your own oil changes and just looking around the car. Here's a good link on the oil change.

Once you're comfortable with that you can do something like a cat-back exhaust. Just work your way up to it, a good deal of things are self explainitory if you are at all mechanically inclined and we're always willing to help on the fourm

Speaking from experience I would have to say the biggest thing that helped me was the how to section on this site. It has outstanding hints/tips/assistance. Everytime I install something new on my car I always go there first to see if it has a write up. Every single time I've seen it there.
Thanks people. TVA, thanks for the site link. Ya know, I've been on evolutionm.net less than a year and you guys have helped out alot by sharing what you know. I'm glad I've joined this community and just wanna say thanks again. Ride safe....
