Thanx for all the info BTW
if you
get a new one, speaking from North East perspective,
only ones available now are GSR and MR in the SE trim, no more RS, unless you live in CA or something with each dealer still has 100 in stock
i would go for the GSR SE or the GSR SSL if you can find one

+1 I just picked up a new GG IX SE and love it ,Way cheaper than the mr and I feel it has a stronger trans .. All I need now is a vg and a wickerbill and I am set .. Just something for you to consider ..
On the other end of the spectrum, if you're planning to mod the snot out of it and take it to Sears Point, Laguna Seca or Willow Springs every weekend for a track attack then I think you'll eventually **** away the things make the MR the flagship. Eventually you'll replace the suspension with a full coilover setup, I'm sure. Adios OEM Bilsteins. Sooner or later you'll grenade something in the drivetrain and, more than likely, opt for a more robust Sheppard transmission rather than throw money at repairing the heavier, weaker, OEM setup. Adios freeway friendly 6 speed...
