Is this going to be your own personal car or a shop car?

if you

get a new one, speaking from North East perspective,

only ones available now are GSR and MR in the SE trim, no more RS, unless you live in CA or something with each dealer still has 100 in stock

i would go for the GSR SE or the GSR SSL if you can find one

So this is going to be a daily driver? If so I would go for the MR. If you can swing the extra green it's worth the value IMHO. It's a somewhat more forgiving ride, the 6 speed makes freeway commuting a little easier, and they seem to hold their value well.

On the other end of the spectrum, if you're planning to mod the snot out of it and take it to Sears Point, Laguna Seca or Willow Springs every weekend for a track attack then I think you'll eventually **** away the things make the MR the flagship. Eventually you'll replace the suspension with a full coilover setup, I'm sure. Adios OEM Bilsteins. Sooner or later you'll grenade something in the drivetrain and, more than likely, opt for a more robust Sheppard transmission rather than throw money at repairing the heavier, weaker, OEM setup. Adios freeway friendly 6 speed...
