Mitsu has the customer service!!

Well, after reading soo many posts about problems with mitsu honering warranties and what not I thought i would share an experience that my father had with toyota the other day. My dad just bought a brand new 07 toyota camery, nothing special, cars are not a big deal to him, just something nice to get him from point a to point b, and that gets good gas milege. All he really wanted was a sunroof. The dealership didnt have a camery with the specs he wanted with a sunroof. So they offered to have one put in. I told my dad that it wasnt a good idea to get one put in, beacuse of all the problems I have seen with sunroof installs. But he decided to do it anyways because it had a lifetime warranty. Anyways, the sunroof leaked once, he brought it back, they told him they fixed it, well it ended up leaking agian when we were in the carwash. So he brought it back a second time, and again they said they had the problem worked out, but it leaked again. So my dad called up the dealership told them about the problems he was having, and that even if they could get it straighted out that he didnt want the car anymore becuase it would always be in the back of his mind, and 4-5 years down the road if it happens again he would be screwed. The service manager, told him that they would do anything to make him happy, asked him what would it take. He told them he wanted a new car, service manager said no problem, well that was a week ago, today the guy called him, told my dad to come pick up his new car. Just like that, real nice about it, no argueing what so ever. That is customer service. Not this BS that mitsu is pulling on all of ther customers.

Well I asked my Mercedes dealer for something small, not even a close to a new car. One customer overheard the conversation and he came over and kindly handed me they Mechanical Hose Lubricant and a very smooth brush for me to apply it on my a**. With half a smile on his face and a tear dripping down on the side of his face, said to me; "Don't struggle or it will hurt even more"

I never had any problems with Mitsubishi. If you guys abuse your cars and break stuff on it, why do you feel like you have been treated wrong? It makes no sense. Stop crying, there are many other service departments by other companies far worse than Mitsubishi. I take really good care of my car and with all the modds that I have on my car; the service department does not care.

I Love You

Since I work at a dealership, it really depends on the dealership itself. I know the GM over at Mitsubishi in San Diego and he is a really cool guy. Most of the techs are friendly as well, its not there fault Mitsubishi is so strict because every kid who blew there engine before blamed Itcypussy.

Toyota is 3rd I believe, but all marketers say in the coming years they will take over GM for the #1 spot.

BTW: we are talking about market share right?

VW seems to be good to me. Never had an issue w/ my R32 but i know people that have had electrical issues (windows falling in) and got new cars. It's more so the dealer, not the company.

That's why Toyota is going to be #1... of course, as people have said, service is going to vary from dealership to dealership, but you have to be doing more things right then wrong to get yourself in the position Toyota is in.

I know it varys accross the board, but since we are on the topic of dealerships, I went to the Mitsu dealer at lunch by work to get a bolt and I told the guy at the parts desk it was for an 04 Evo. And when he asked me if it had a turbo I peed a little in my pants. Now I don't expect them to be experts but I do expect them to know their product.... At that point I knew I was walking out without the bolt

Yeah, depends who you talk to. The independent guys are saying Toyota will overtake GM in world wide market share. But as long as GM signs my paychecks I am pulling for them

Actually, read all the posts about peeling clear coat on wings and Brembos. Also check some paint issues and steering wheels peeling etc. Oh, that's right, it's all because of mods and the way we drive

Go work for now, you have just as much logic dude
