What Gauge should I get?

I recently bought a Defi Boost gauge and control unit II. I'm looking for one more gauge to buy but not sure what is best for my evo IX. I will be running just a TBE, MBC, and tune (for now).

What is your opinions and why? EGT? Oil temp? Pressure?

I've heard EGT is important so your car won't explode but I'm not sure what would be most benefical for my setup.

Thanks.

If you are just going with one more defi gauge go with oil pressure. It will tell you if you loose all pressure, you need to shut your engine off right away. EGT is a thing of the past. It was used to roughly tune peoples cars, now it is pretty much pointless because you aren't doing the tune.

A wideband is the same, if you are tuning your car. Or if you do a lot of racing(autox, drag, etc.) then it is important. However if you have a flash, there really isn't a need.

I have some defi's boost, oil pressure, and oil temp. Boost is all you really need, the rest are mainly for looks in all honesty. I also plan on getting a water temp as well. Hope this helps.

What are the risks running high or low oil press. and what causes them? What is the standard ranges for "safe" cars?
