yep, looks like i over oiled my "works" drop in filter. any remedies anyone can suggest? i know that over oiled filters can foul the maf sensor and i don't wanna do that.

would re-cleaning and re-oiling be the best method?

thanks guys!

Yes, that would probably be the best course of action. I have had that filter for around 20,000 miles and I needed to clean my MAF because it was dirty a couple of times. Use the oil SPARINGLY.

if this is bothering you so much just borrow your mom's car tomorrow, get an oem air filter from your local mitsu dealer (it does the same thing) and off you go. then buy a new filter which requires no oil i.e. blitz or hks

i read online somewhere about a product "CFC"? its suppose to clean maf sensors pretty good. even adding HP!!!

anyhoo, i will be heeding your suggestion. its just annoying that i would have to go through the cleaning process all over again. rookie mistake FTL!

Your fine just let your oiled filter sit overnight on top of some newpaper or any other absorbant material just allow it to drain out and by morning you be fine if there is any extra left just pat up any extra that might still be there. I have done it several times with my K&N and have never had a problem.
