IX owner thinking about getting MR

Today i went to dealership to get oil change. I own apex silver 9 GSR.
I bought it about 3 months ago and paid around 29k.
Paying $539 month with $3000 down.
I saw this evo MR, I think its special edition. It had SE front lip and red tread on seat. They told me its $31k (msrp was $37)
When i got my GSR I wanted to get MR but it was too expensive(like 5k more)
They checked out my car and told me its only worth $24k (2500 miles)
I didnt get my educational, military discount when i got my GSR.
They told me they will get me 400 education 500 military 500 loyalty rebates
They will give me same 6% interest rate for 60 months

total came out to be around 575 month with 1000 down.
Is this good deal or not? or should i go talk to them and get it down more.
They told me I'm losing around 3k for the GSR.

Money aside, is it what you think you want? That is all that really matters at this point.

I'm sure you're losing more than $3,000.

In my opinion the only thing you're missing out on with the MR is its aluminum roof and slightly better gearing. Everything else can be purchased and put on your car if you so wish it. It's up to you, but the cars are really not that different. If on the other hand, you're dead set on the apperance package and various goodies that the mr comes with, go for it, it just doesn't make financial sense (not that any car stuff does).

it sounds like you're loosing more than 3k for your GSR. think about it.

you paid 29k for the GSR originally, its depreciated 5k, and you will have to put another 1k as down payment for the MR. you'll be lucky if they sell you the MR SE at 31k, but chances are fairly slim. Most places have MR SE's floating arounding 37k to 47k, which is a ridiculously high markup.

so in your situation it might not be worth the bilsteins, red stitching recaros, and MR SE badge.

So am I losing alot? dont know how the money works on cars. I'm into MR just because it looks better comes with vortex, wind defuser, gauge, bigger rims, 6 speed. Also I'm worried about my car losing warranty due to little rubs on my ACD and stripped o2 housing(one side). Its my car but all my friends and families are telling me not to mod because i'll lose 10 year worth of warranty.

BTW can someone give me the link to the dealer that sells BR 350? also BR350 comes with dealer warranty?

a new ix mr se for only $31K? Are you sure? The gsr se is about a 1-2k difference from the regular gsr. GSR SE has the lip, red stitching, and bbs wheels. And your going to get bilstein shocks and 6spd for an additional 1k on top of that. No way.... Sounds too good to be true.

IT had MR logo in back with vortex, bbs rims, red thread, and bilstein shocks(i think it was green or yellow) MSRP was 38(378xx)
its their last evo in stock

the SE is a MR without the 6-speed trany.

do you really want the lip, red stitching, aluminum roof, and HIDs?

HIDs are an easy fix on a gsr.

you're paying for aesthetics.

So not worth it! The past 3 months you've paid
~1600 in payments + 3000 down payment = ~4600 already

Oh and btw you'll owe 2000 after the stealership pays the first car off

Now you want to pay an extra 1000 plus have a higher montly payment

Buy the SE lip and wheels and you'll get most of what you want

they checked out my car and told me would you like to drive away that car tonight
575 month 1000 down so i'm sure i can get it that price(but going for lower)

They are paying 24k for my car. So I lost 5k and they told me to pay extra 1000 so that equals to 6000 and 35 more dollars equals to about 1500(20dollar per 1k)
so I'm basically losing 6000 and paying 1500 more for MR SE?

Dont know if its good trade or not. But 31k for MR SE is making me think over and over again.
