Wheel and tire upgrade's Noob Questions

my goal for my car is, autox/ track car I wanna keep the stock wheels but with cheap Daily drive tires, and then get a set of rims and tires which i can switch out to autox on,

Questions

1. What size should i Stick to? 17,18's? for most handling
2. and what size tires should i stick to?
3. And any websites that I could look at for details on wheels and tires
4. Would i need any wheel spacers, and what kinda offset do i need to stay around basically needed schooling on wheels
5. Willing to get the fenders rolled
5.1 how much will it cost to get it done or should i do it myself
5.2 where should i get it done in GA topspeed or dyno4mance

Stock Suspension,or should i just get tires and do suspension work before i go bigger on wheel size?
I want the best griping machine

I was thinking going with 18X9.5

For a track car you probably want the lightest rim you can purchase in the tire size you want since they will be strictly used for track who really cares how it looks

BEFORE you get nice tires and learn crappy driving habbits take some weak tires out to a track on your stock suspension and limit yourself out on those. Get someone to give you pointers and try to beat opponents with better setups so you learn how to maximize the potential. Then get suspension and tires god knows i can't drive my stock rims that well so hey better now than never

1. The wider the tire the more grip your going to get out of it but you'll run into clearance issues and of course bigger means weight considerations.
2. anything under 18X8.5 IMHO but its up to you man
3. Did you try http://www.tirerack.com ?
4. Of course spacers heavily depend on what size tire you buy..
