my turbo spools real quiet, only when its in 4 or 5 gear and around 15-20 psi can i hear the turbo. Is it cause i only have the works drop in, if i got a new intake wit an arm and cone would i be able to hear the turbo spool? i have a tbe also

 

i hear mine just fine with the windows down music off sounds awesome running factory intake and exhaust

Cone filter with MAF adapter (i.e. Vibrant or Buschur) will give you the "whoosh" blow-off sound, as well as the sucking noise as the turbo starts spooling. No, you do not need a BOV to hear this. Do not go out and buy some random intake and slap it on; you will have issues with your car not idling properly...

 

the intake will make your turbo and blow off valve 10x more audible.

with the intake sometimes a car needs to be tuned to run smooth, sometimes ya get away. personally my car was fine, i ran untune with exhaust and intake for 4-5 months.
