How many tires can you transport?

Just wondered how many 255/40/17 tires (without rims) could be transported in an Evo?...Thanks!

4 in the back seats...maybe 6 but they'd be stacked so high that you wouldn't be able to see out the back window. Probably 2 more in the trunk. 2 more in the passenger's side front seat. 4 more on the rims that you're driving on.

Ya, I was thinking 4 tires in the backseat, situated parallel to each-other (with the tire surface against the front seats), 2 in front and 2 in trunk...Maybe I could put one around my neck too?...

Just wondered, cause I am supposed to pick up 8 today!

Thanks!

Shoot, for free I would have strapped them to the top of my car, with tennis-shoe laces...

I have a strut bar (limiting trunk storage), and I have 8 tires to stuff.

heres a tip i got from evo8dad. take the back seat cushion out, and you can put them side by side. you might be able to get another 2 in the trunk and one in the front passenger seat too.

255/40/17 stacked as i described in the back seats fit very snug against the doors and seatbacks

2 in the trunk, 2 in the back seat. Make sure you get some tire totes.

I could have easily fit 2 in the front passenger and 2 more in the rear seats if necessary, total 8.

Yep. I actually have both cushions out. I think 8 is doable.
