whats next?

I am finally getting the last of my parts together for install but left with a couple questions. First off I will list what I will be doing with my car at this stage on my 06 Evo 9. Greddy Ti exhaust, BR downpipe and test pipe, AMS intercooler and lower pipes, Dejon upper pipe, Tial BOV, Hallman Pro RX MBC, Innovate LM-1 wide band with datalogging, aquamist water-injection and the typical boost/oil temp/egt/water temp gauges. I will be getting a custom tune and flash for everything. My first question is with the power obtained from these components should I consider getting a upgraded clutch installed/ broken in before I install the power parts? Would a Tilton carbon clutch kit be overkill... I am considering in the future getting the GSC S1 cams and boosting 24-25psi. Also the consideration of a gt30r maybe next year. Is there something else I am missing in the mix. I want to do it right, and not learn the hard way. This is to be driven mostly street with the ocassional drag strip/track event.

- You will need a new clutch eventually with all the added torque, but unless you have the cash lying around and need to be able to race right away, I wouldn't touch the clutch until the stocker fails you. When you get a clutch, I don't think you need carbon at all. Get a nice Exedy Twin HD cerametallic, and you'll be in great shape.

- I don't think the BR test pipe can mate to the Greddy TI, because it's slip-fit on the cat-back side. I would suggest going with a BR cat-back that only weighs a few lbs more than the Greddy while costing half as much. If you absolutely must have the super-expensive TI catback, then you probably have to get a different test pipe. The BR DP will fit either way, because it's flanged.

- Unless the Tial is recirculating, then do not get it until you remove the MAF. Stick with a good recirculating BOV like the Forge RS, which can hold all your boost perfectly without any ill effects.

- GSC S1 cams are a great choice.

- 24-25psi can be done on pump gas with your IX. Go for 26-28psi on the alky.

- Don't forget the fuel pump, SS o2 housing, and ported/coated stock exhaust manifold. You can get all that from Buschur, too.

I did some research after I had posted this and yes the Tial BOV won't work for my set-up. Either I will go with the turboxs or the greddy type rs. I forgot to list I already have a Warbro 255lph fuel pump but I knew somebody would catch that. As for the test pipe, would just any flanged TP work such as DPE or Helix ( or anything else someone can suggest). The exhaust manifold i am still up in the air about with either something ported or going with a tubular setup and have that either coated/or wrapped. Just a shot the dark but I am hoping to achieve somewhere in the 340 to 360 hp range. Is this realistic with this set up? I want a soild daily driver that I can have spirited fun with. Not saying as it is stock I don't enjoy it but we all know once you get taste of the boost the addition needs to be fed more Thanks warrTalon for your input.

1) Why would you choose between TXS and Greddy Type RS. Neither is recommended, and neither is as good as your stocker. YOu don't need to "upgrade" until you're running over 25psi daily, in which case you'll need something good like a Forge RS. Your choice, but it would be a poor decision if you went with either BOV you listed, imo.

2) Yes, any TP flanged on both ends will work.

3) Stock ported/coated manifold will make more power, cost less, and not crack as compared to an aftermarket tubular.

4) We only speak in terms of WHP, not HP, and I believe you can easily reach the 340-360whp range with these mods on 93oct with a good custom flash, and that's WITHOUT the cams. With the cams, look for even more...
