ROFL!! I need to take my camera out to the tracks next time I go...I can honestly say there are about 20 of these JDM Evo's around here. If you're into other JDM cars, tons of Skyline GT-R's, RX-7's, Supra's etc here as well! The Subaru WRX's get a cut hip out there all the time...The older JDM cars are really cheap! We have to pay 57% customs duty on cars under 20K brought into the country and 75% on anything over, but my car I paid just under $7,000 for

yes green turbo light is cool haha first time i was like wtf is that!? thought i broke something already. I think the evo 1s only had the green turbo light if im not mistaken, perhaps yours has an evo 3 kit on it? i can't blame them though i love the evo 3 looks better then any of the other evos.

LOL!! I wouldn't be surprised if the car isn't a regular lancer they dropped an EVO motor in and body kit No complaints though...I'm really enjoying the car.

Those OZ Wheels are 15 x 6 right? Those are the same wheels on the 2002-2004 Lancer OZ Rally Edition.

Yeah...And they came white!!!! (YIKES!!) I quickly painted them gold for now(LOL) The car use to be white from where I can see paint missing in one or two spots, but I'm stripping all the paint off and changing the color totally later on in the year. The car is actually green, but you have to be in the right light at the right angle to see it. Really strange almost like a chameleon paint job, but needs re-painting

Are you sure it's not an Evo 1 with Evo III aero? It has an Evo 1 interior. As far as boost goes, keep it around one bar. You'll be out of injector at anything higher. Some easy modifications to do are Evo 8 fuel pump, injectors and MAF. Also one major thing with that car is swapping the factory BOV for an Evo 8/9 one. The early evo BOV is shaped exactly the same except the spring will absolutely not permit anything over 14psi without opening completely and causing a huge boost leak.

Check for crankwalk also, before spending huge money on modifications. Most early evos already have it. Mine had no thrust bearing at all when I tore the engine down. The crank was scored beyond repair yet it drove just fine.

It's no matter really. They're both great cars and you'll probably upgrade yours beyond evo III spec anyway.

does the ID plate say cd9a or ce9a? as for the bov you can flip it and it will hold much more boost, if its the stock one that is haha

Thanks for the info! I'm sorry I missed that part...I'll leave it where it's at till I find out more about the car. I figured the computer must have been worked on because you can see a bolt missing from where it mounts, but I haven't taken it down to see if any sticker/tags are on it. Also, with the plumbing upgrades, and the supposedly cusco diff in it, there must be some stuff done...

LOL!!! I wish I could get out there and wash it everyday, but I have a 7 month old, a wife and a job that keeps me too busy(LOL) As for the color, the original color must have been white because I can see it in a few spots where the "black" (really green in the right lighting) came off and I see white
