Well since there's a whole lot of hating going on about everyone's Evo in the other thread, I'd see what little things (IE not the performance) people like comparing them to a past vehicle. I'm coming from a base model DSM so here's some things that I didn't have and really enjoy now...

1. Power windows/locks/mirrors
2. Don't have to lift stuff up to get it out of the trunk
3. The convenience of 4 doors
4. The Recaro's they're just amazing
5. Stock 17" wheels that when covered in brake dust just get mistaken for a gunmetal/graphite color
6. Even without HID's my brights are BRIGHT
7. No more stupid nonworking hatch struts that resulted in many cranial bruises from my DSM
8. Storage, bigger glove box, and the box in the center which I didn't have in my DSM
9. My favorite... having soo many wiper speeds, especially ones slow enough for a light drizzle/mist. The DSM's slowest speed was too fast for those which meant I constantly had to turn them on/off.

IDK I've never seen a thread about the little things people like about these cars. And hell maybe someone will learn something cool they didn't even know about like posted in the other thread about the auto lights off thing. If it makes you feel any better I changed it to 9

 

whoa ... almost none of those are the things i LOVE

1. How tight the wheel is, i just love how when u point the car moves
2. I love how tight the tranny feels even Stock i came from Civic and man a lose tranny just messes with the feel of a car
3. one word... BREMBOS
4. AWD ... it sucks when u get a flat or a blow out... but being able to pretty much always have traction
5. The Rarco seats are awesome... however on one down side... they wear out if its DD
6. I love the hood vent... although sometimes a lil ricey... i lost watching the head rise on cooler days
7. It's amazing reaction from Mods the 4g63 just loves mods
8. It's reflashing ablilitys... being able to have stock Driveablilty over 500whp withj the stock ECU ... is just awesome
9. Front Mont intercooler STOCK! that's awesome! not many cars have them esp the size of ours
10. even at 100% stock ... the car will out run/handle/drive some of the best out there

at home, really not the case

 

1. Getting revved on while washing your cars by ricers.
2. Having "police escort" while driving around town...that or they are running my plates.
3. Eating many RWD around mountain/curvy roads
4. Producing equal or more WHP than vehicles with bigger engines
5. Whizzing past cars with passengers and groceries in the vehicle.
6. Getting profiled as a "Ricer" until they get beat
7. AWD....Any Weather Dragracing
8. Having to park way out in the boonies when going to crowded places
9. Going to meets 10-20 cars deep
10. Having the best warranty PERIOD

 

i don't mean to start an argument or get this thread off topic, but if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything it at all. of course, i broke that rule too by quoting what you said, but i see a lot of unnecasary comments that could've been kept to themselves(yes i know, just like this one). I agree, a lot of times there are tons of threads on the same things, i get a little angry every time i see "what intake should i get?" but that doesn't mean you have to open them, nor do you have to post anything. not trying to anger you or anyone, just wanted to put my 2 cents on comments like these.

so this isn't too off topic, top 9 things i love about my evo.

1. stock tires
2. stock suspension
3. modability
4. or if you wanna keep it stock, you'll still beat most cars!
5. the recaro's
6. best bang for the buck car
7. some people don't like it, but i like the attention
8. reliabiltiy. i've never had any problems with mine(knock on wood), even slightly modded.
9. the best daily driver, for any season, with 5 people in the car, ever!

also, chaotichoax, where abouts in jersey are you from? maybe we've seen eachother around, or maybe ill see you at some meets this year.

I have to give my local mitsu dealer props, they replaced my wing without a complaint!!

This was a few weeks ago, now I'm going back to see if they will fix my brembo's flaking, I'll let you know!!

 

I was being sarcastic...but thus far I have had no major problems with warranty issue....got my wing replaced.
