What to pay for a new EVO 9?

I have a 2003 EVO 8 that will soon be out of warranty.

I do not like the EVO 10 and would like to purchase an EVO 9 that is nearly identical to my EVO 8 .

The thing is I dont know what a good price is anymore. I imagine it should be below invoice since it will be considered 1.5 years old as soon as I drive it off the lot.

Any suggestions? I plan on trading my 8 in on the 9 and don't really care if I could make a grand or so more selling it on my own.

well up here in the northeast, which seems to be a bit more expensive than other parts of the country (i'm in boston), just purchased one used, 10K on it, for $27,000 Still has 5 yr//60k warranty, no aftermarket mods except tinted windows and 3M, and it is the SSL package. It is in excellent shape, so I guess that's about average for a private party, probably like 28-29 at the dealer.

30,000 would be ok, they're 06 so don't let them bull**** u at the dealer Evo being rare. I would say stick to 30 grand or below.

Exactly what I was thinking. Tthe SE models are selling at 30k on EBAY so face to face I should swing a better deal.

I dont mod my vehicles. I'm not looking for a faster car. I'm looking for a newer one. Getting a brand new car for $8k is a no brainer if you ask me.

I don't understand why people would trade an VIII for a XI because they're so similar. Warranty...ok...but what is that? Never heard of such a thing...
