JDM rear bumper question (WW)
Hey guys, for those of your with a WW evo and purchased a jdm rear how was the paint match? I keep hearing that the JDM WW rear bumper that are shipped to the US are pearl white not the WW so the color will be kind of off. Im buying a new JDM rear bumper for 400 picked up and the guy says that all the IX bumpers shipping to the US are pearl white so I have to get it re-painted for a perfect color match. Has ne one with a ww JDM rear have to re-paint the bumper? Thanks!

it still has a slight mismatch, but not as drastic as it is now
the new ww jdm bumbers that are shipped to the us are different color than when i bought mine back in summer 05. rumor is that the place in japan where they paint the bumpers was moved, and now it seems they add more pearl into the paint.

Ok, I got both of them the pearl white and solid white (USDM WW), I order the JDM rear bumper from D3 motorsport in Socal and it come with Pearl white (They did NOT tell me when I order)!! They just told all the customer there is only one white in Japan and thats pearl white ! Thats what been told by their vendor Option Auto Salon, I call them and they told me the same BS. most vendor in SoCal got their JDM rear bumper from them, so if you buy the JDM rear bumper from SoCal shop, you will get the pearl white bumper ! If you go to japanparts.com and you will find when you try to order the JDM rear bumper, they give you two white : pearl white and solid white(USDM WW). You can order either one directly from Japan !! Later on I order my second JDM rear bumper from Gruppe-s in NoCal and it come with match color !! So just make sure before you order the bumper and do NOT believe the vendor tell you some BS like the pearl white is the only white in Japan !!
