Maybe a boost controller would help?

Make sure your MBC is hooked up properly. Do you always run 28psi? If you do a 3rd gear run what does your boost gauge show?

Check all your hoses, you may have leak somewhere or something may not be hooked up right.

Is the forge blowoff a recirculating one or is it venting to atmosphere?

Ok this is going to sound weird, but check for moisture in your MBC and lines. About 2 months ago a guy with an STI was having funky boost problems at my mechanics shop and they found condensation in the lines was the culprit. They blew out the lines and mbc with air and it cleared right up. But the only reason he was having issues was the condensation was freezing in the mbc, I don't know what the weather is like where you are.

It could just be that your mbc is going bad for some reason. I haven't heard of many Evo's getting boost creep with a MBC.

Did this problem just start happening ? Do you have a EBC? It sounds like your hitting boost cut or fuel cut. I had the same thing happen in my AVC-R boost controller when I first got it and it just had to be configured properly.

Does it still happen when you turn down the boost controller?
