Iridium

Hello

going straight to the point
I bought a second hand Evo 8, it has 40,000 miles the previous owner tells me that the car has those iridium plugs, and they dont need to change until you get to 100,000 miles

I had a Tiburon before and never got those sparks but I do recall seeing that thing about the miles

anyway, me question is this correct or I should replace them

I would replace them with BPR7ES every 15k miles. So yes replace them!

Depends how you drive it. Pull them out and look at them. Irridium plugs should last 60k but you drive a boosted car and we dont know what has been done to it.

90% of us run copper plugs in our EVOs and change the every other oil change. At less than 2 bucks a plug who cares.

The coppers made my car way smoother than the irridiums

Yeah copper plugs ftw, I change them all the time they are so cheap, keep an extra set in glove box in case I melt one.

my car didn't like the coppers too much, but i run NGK BPR7IX iridiums and change them once a year without issues.
