New guy intro, important question.

I'm Dave, I'm in the army and I just went home on leave from Iraq. While on leave I purchased an '06 MR. I'm 21, I love to drive/race/cruise/chill. I definitely go out and party when I can. I am originally from GA and I am stationed in NC... While in NC you'll see me splitting my driving time between my Evo, my 240, and my hatchback, just depends on which one is in pieces at the time. While in GA you'll either see me riding my R6 or driving whatever car I took back home with me, most likely the Evo, but I HATE putting highway miles on it. I love driving or riding in the north GA mountains, along routes 129 and 180. I chill in Atlanta when I can too.

My question: I want to convert to MANUAL windows. Does anybody know of a cheaper way to do it then getting all of the RS parts from the dealership???

Thanks!!!

Me and my Evo:

it was supposed to be prosac, mental drug, anyway i would do all the other easy weight savings b 4 that, then hopefully u come to your senses:
11 lb battery
remove spare and jack 40lbs
turbo back exaust 40 lbs
rear wiper and motor

as you add hp u will not worry about the power windows 2-4 lbs

Yes I most definitely will. All of the things you mentioned either have been done or will be done. The only exception being the rear wiper, I'll keep that.

I should state that I have a lot of experience in reducing the weight of my vehicle. I used to work in a shop that built full race cars for SCCA competition, as well as owning several completely gutted cars (I wouldn't go so far as to call my cars race cars, but I intend to change that with my Evo).

My question was this: I want to convert to MANUAL windows. Does anybody know of a cheaper way to do it then getting all of the RS parts from the dealership?

Not this: I want to gut my car out to save weight. Does anyone know what I should do?

Thank you though for your thoughtfulness.
