First, I know most of it is the same - Engine, Transmission, Suspension, etc. Most of the minor differences (in my opinion) are power windows, locks, stereo, etc.

The major differences. The RS DOES NOT have:

* 4-Channel, 4-Sensor Sport ABS with Steering Angle and G-Force Sensors
* Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)

So I'm wondering.. does that mean the RS does not have ABS? Isn't this a very important safety feature to have on a daily driver? Thoughts?

 

I would assume it is to save weight, I also was reading someone else's post about how the computer couldn't handle the change brought on by the RS' limited-slip in the front.

 

The RS doesn't have any sort of abs.

 

ABS is more of a safety feature. Skilled drivers don't necessarily need it, plus the RS was meant to be more of a track car.

 

RS = Rally Special. Most race teams that buy an Evo RS change out the brake system, suspension, and don't care for the everyday lazyman's features such as power windows and door locks. They also add their own big wing for downforce.
