Been a lurker for quite a while. I owned a 95 Eclipse GST prior to the inbound EVO, so it seems like a logical progression. Been on DSM talk for years. Guess I'll be frequenting here more often now.

Anyway, to the meat of it. I bought an 06 IX off of Carmax, its being shipped here (Florida) from California. Are there any additional pollution control devices (different intake, extra cats, etc..) installed on California cars that would reduce the power output and could be legally removed now that the car will reside in Florida?

I found a lot of questions regarding smog testing and CARB approved devices in Cali, but nothing specifying any differences in their cars there.

If anyone knows for sure, I'd greatly appreciate the input.

all the Evos in the US are the same... from the factory... and no there are no emissions control devices that you can take off " Legally"
