If you plan on upgrading the turbo an upgraded FMIC is an obvioius mod. If you arent the gains are negligible.

I built my DSM entirely through SBR products. I've read countless threads on the internet bashing them, saying thier customer service sucks, thier shipping is slow, etc. It's funny how one person can have a bad experience, and all of a sudden 10people are mimicing thier words. Every single person I have ever talked to on the phone over there has been friendly and helpful. I've called them a few times, telling them clearly that I didn't plan on ordering anything that day, just looking for some advice, and they treated me as if i was calling to make a $8,000 order. My interpretation of what they are saying is that the 55whp gain comes from a combination of thier intake, 3" turboback exhaust, reflash, and thier FMIC. I guess that could be reasonable, considering 9's seem to do very very well with a reflash alone, let alone the other mods. I tried gettin on thier website, to see how they are claiming the power gain is from a FMIC only, but good 'ol I.Explorer is letting me down.

So Mike, if for some reason it'ss being portrayed on your website that this FMIC gives you 55whp out of the box, maybe you could reword it a little differently to avoid any confusion? Thanks for all the help you guys have been in the past, and once the dsm is sold, I'll be building my Evo through you guys again

I am still trying to find the dyno graph before this one - it was 278 WHP on the stock IC - changing out the FMIC netted the difference.

Hope this makes sense

When I find it - it will be posted!

Found it!

This was the graph right before the FMIC was added.

Yes - larger gains would be noticed with a different, or larger turbocharger.

Hope this clears it up - sorry if I was unclear before.

I use the Nissei. No complaints overall, just a tad hefty though!

Edit: I agree with the above skeptics concerning the 55 BHP gain...it ain't gonna happen. UhUh!

Wait so what will the addition of the SBR core give you? That mod alone I mean?

even if sbr's core works.. you'll endup getting one for a subaru or something..

get halfway into the install and realise they sent you the wrong ****. or they will lie to you about having to cut/notch something or having something instock..

just steer clear of SBR. i wish i had.

To Mike H.'s Defence.. Its not so much him as it is the dumbass employ's he has. From what I delt with Mike for he was very good to deal with. He just gets misrepresented by his dumbass employees which you'll be dealing with.
