i just picked up my car from the alignment shop today. i had -2 degrees put in the front and -1 in the rear. when i got home i opened the hood and the camber plates are set at 0 so i called the guys and they told me that he set it at the struts and not at the plates

is this ok

Sure. What you shoulda done though was got a print out from the shop that did the alignment. Don't be sorry your a newb, everyone is or was at one time or another.

 

you should have got a print out with all the specs before and after.....
go back and ask them for one and if they cant give you one, request they redo your alignment since you dont think they adjusted to what you told them. show them the camber plates are at 0 degrees
