stock fuel gauge no work now

Okay after I installed the walbro 255 fuel pump I noticed the stock fuel gauge on empty and not going up to normal wherever the amount of fuel I had. I drove it around and nothing, same thing. I took it out, the fuel pump and put it back in and still nothing. ??? I checked the car for a bad fuse reset the pcm. anybody got any suggestions or did you have this happen to you??? help!

when installing the fuel pump did you damage or bend the hand with the black piece at the end?

You probably damaged the sending unit when you installd/re-installed the unit. The float with the arm is easy to bend and if it jams or is bent it will throw youre whole gauge reading off.

your fuel level sensor is probably no good.

THE arm still floats and doesnt seem messed up. Im gonna put the stock pump and see what happens. I filled up the tank too this morning just incase that would be the problem. I hope its not the arm. If it is how much would a new unit be?

Normally there are alignment marks on the pump. If you didn't align the marks the gauge will not read accurately.
