i also just wanted to say, i love this car to death and honestly think with high price tags there worth every penny, ive only had the car for 2months tho and have already dumped 2k into repairs, im just scared to death after reading all these threads about peoples cars breaking and blowing up, and with mine having 60k, i feel like its a ticking time-bomb. if it breaks again im screwed, being on a tight budget and all out of money now, the evo wont do me any good being a garage car

Sorry to hear that your selling. You shouldn't have any problems if you do your servicing and take care of her. She will be good to you if you are good to her. 66k on mine 03 with no probs, other than minor maintenance. Sounds like the person you had it didn't take care of it. What kind of repairs? clutch?

Honestly, though you shouldn't buy an evo if you can't afford to fix what problems may arise. I mean it is a EVO. It's a HIGH PERFORMANCE MEAN MACHING!!!!Probably for the best that your selling it.

man i wouldnt sweat it just drive it like a car dont dump it and it will treat you ok! my car now has 80k and is an 2003... Daily boosted to 22psi for a long time now... It still uses no oil and runs like the day i bought it... I have noticed as i got over the late teens and early 20's of clutch dumping they seem to last so much longer... I have been on my current ACT since 44k and it has plenty of life left

I'm in the same boat. I've had a Timing & Balance belt sitting here for awhile. I keep putting it off. I looked at my belts and they didn't look bad at all so i'm not to worried. I'll get it done soon. It's pretty expensive at the dealer. I forget the quote i got, but then again i'm in england. Everything is crazy priced.

i tryed to trade my car in today for a 12,000 car, and they asked me how much i owed on my car and i said almost 21,000, he went to the back to run the numbers and came back and said they wernt interested , but if i traded it in for a more expensive car theyd prolly give me top dollar, there just never happy unless your payment goes up, plus i think trading it in at a mitsu dealer rather then anyone else will prolly also yeild a better price

I want to tackle this timing belt change, but it seems like it's going to be a $#@$.
