Question Major Hallman MBC Problem

i just installed a hallman mbc exactly to their instructions ( http://www.hallmanboostcontroller.com/howto.html ), probably checked everything at least 5 times over, when i first started the car it idled on choke just fine, when i touched the accelerator, it revved to about 5k and stayed there, i shut it down right away, unplugged the battery for 5 min. and tried it again, same result, i have left hallman an e-mail, but no return yet, anyone have any ideas because i am thoroughly stumped..................

I so completely fail to understand how a MBC can attribute to throttle sticking, I mean they aren't even related parts.

Makes me think in this process you somehow messed up the throttle cable.

when you are resetting the battery, after hooking the negative terminal back up, and turning the car on, are you letting the car idle for 5 minutes without touching the throttle and with all accesories off?
if that is correct i would double check that the plug to the maf pipe is fully seated.

odd.....some people say after you take off the terminal on the battery to pump your brakes till they are stiff, then let it idle for 5 minutes. try that out and lemme know how it goes. but im sure that would at least reset it, not sure if it will fix the problem, but whynot try

if you think it has to do with the mbc, you could try going bak to stock

after you hooked the battery up and turned on the car is this when you noticed the rpm gauge shoot up? if so this is normal, it will go back down after you let off the clutch

did u pull anything off during the process to make room? intake? maf+sensor? i think thats what u did. MBC itself will not cause any issue w/ idle

does it stay at 5000rpm even when you let off the clutch? mine does the same thing after i reset the ecu and start the car for the first time afterwords and let it idle. mine shoots up to 5000rpm, i let off the clutch, it then comes down to 1300 or so untill warmed up(980rpm).

Did you t your MBC into the throttle cable instead of vacuum hoses?

Seriously though, check to make sure you plugged the MAF sensor back in and check the hoses running to the intake. Did you leave the stock BCS plugged in?
