TTP-Engineering's eflashes WILL improve gas mileage on the other hand if the car is driven in the same manner after the flash as before the flash.

There is a change in the Checksum, that dose show a change to the ECU. Most dealers do not check this, usless there's been a catastrophic failure like a blown motor. If you modify you ECU, there is a posibility it can be detected, but the percentage is small.

Newbie03evo: what they are saying is if your car is running really rich (As they do from the factory) like 10:1 or so and you drive the same before and after the tune, it will cause you to pick up better mpg.

Think of it this way, for the time that you are in boost, in order to make more power with a tune the afr's should be in the range of about 11.0-11.8 or so, depending on mods. Therefore, you will be using less gas after the tune while in boost, than you were before the tune. It is very simple to see that your gas mileage will increase (So long as your driving style does not change).

You don't need hardcore facts on this one since it is so easy to understand the principle......

TTP is just following the mellon tuning guys around on this forum and speaking lots of speculation.

Thank you

correct, in your situation it would be best to get the new parts installed and send some logs and the stock tune. The link in my sig explains the process in detail but let me know if you have any questions
