I got one on ebay for $50 and coming from a 2G Eclipse GS-T the stock plastic BOV leaks really bad. Although the stock EVO 8 plastic BOV should hold stock boost levels fine, from what i read in the forums, I just don't trust it it. I didn't feel much of a difference when I switched it out though.

Yes it worth it. I've been throught the stock plastic, HKS , Blitz DD, and wound up with the IX Bov. Works great.

its the best bov when running less than 25 psi of boost. as for the sound, its not any louder, for that add a buschur cone filter

^^^ An aftermarket intake system will really bring out the sound of your stock bov, especially the metal IX one. I have one with the Injen intake and IC pipes and it sounds real nice. Not loud and obnoxious, niice..

The plastic EVO 8 sounds almost like the metal evo 9 BOV but just a slightly higher pitch to it. I have A blitzs SUS intake and sounds pretty good with the stock EVO 9 BOV but you know toeveryone else it just noise and they think our cars are broken after every shift...
