i just dont understand

my frint rotors were resurfaced at the spot smooth and i picked up brake pads from local ams carbon metalics and installed at once in a shop

and all the time when i come to a stop those front brakes squeek! why?

 

I dont know about all the time, but my stockers squeek from time to time. But its only when I'm traveling 5 mph or less and lightly pushing on the brakes.

Are your brakes/pads stock or different? If their stock then its normal. Also you can try bedding them in by driving and braking 10 times on the higway, but dont make a complete stop untill the brakes have cooled down a bit. This would put brake dust deposits on the rotors which are supposed to help. At least thats what I've read here in the forums.

 

yeah when i come to the stop but why are they squeeking? is it becasue those are performance brake pads?

 

i changed out my stock brake pads to hawk hps, when warmed up they squeel all the time.

 

i would take the pads off and put more copper anti squeel. do you still have the stock shim on the new pads???? without the stock shims you will squeel

 

performanc brakes squeak...fact of life.
