What are the BEST 4 NEEDED useful gauges??

I have some saved up money and i wanted to buy some gagues. but i find my self kinda confused and i have tried to search just cant seem to find my answer. What are the best 4 need gauges i should put into my whip.

I think they are but im not sure like i said .

1 . Boost Gauge
2. Oil Pressure
3. Wideband ( heard the A/F gauge is a waste of money)
4 . EGT

what you think. also what are GOOD Gauges. I might go w/ defi but im not sure yet . cause i might be able to use left over money for fast parts for my car LOL .

also i would like for them to Match my cluster gauges. that red color. hah

you pretty much have the important ones. fuel pressure is nice too, but if your only going to have 4, then you picked the right ones

Boost gauge, LC-1 Wideband, Laptop, Evoscan.....nothing else "really" needed for a bolt-on street car.

The wideband essentially is the same as an EGT gauge.... they will both indicate when ur leaning out.. dont get me wrong its nice to have both, but if I were u Id get the wideband instead of wasting money on the egt. My .02 cents.... Boost, oil pressure, and AEM wideband.

Not true. An egt will spike if you retard or advance your timing when tuning. egt is far from a widband. Egt is only a reference only once you are tuned in. A wideband will tell you if your running rich or lean regardless of exhaust temp.
But you are right, I would not waste my money on an egt if i have a wideband.
So the three I would get are
oil press
boost
wideband.

SO egt is a waste of money if you have a wideband?

I think it is also about the direction you plan to take the car. For example, if you are keeping the car relatively stock (bolt on's) but want to take it to the track often, you would probably want a Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Water temp (monitor the vitals of the motor).

However, if you are modding the car more or are going to do you're own tuning, then you would be looking at A/F or EGT (debate above) and maybe fuel pressure.

Just my thoughts.

Not that it is a waste of money but if you already have a wideband, it will tell you if you are lean or rich. The egt, you have to know what the numbers mean as far as temps go and what is good or bad and can vary. on a tuners standpoint, the egt will go up in temp either on advance or retard timing. So the egt is a reference, while the wideband see's oxygen contant. In all egt is a good tool but if you have a wideband or planning to get one, an egt is not nessisary imo

egt is to put the icing on the cake when you're tuning. Knowing your EGT allows you to push closer to the edge, if your egt's are going up as you advance timing or lean out fuel mix, or add boost or whatever...car may pull great but climbing egt's is not a good thing; Each motor has a threshold(do not try to exceed it).
I think Egt is a vital tool if you know what you're looking for, and even more vital when you're tuning aggressively with methanol/alcohol.
