boost gauge reading is off?

I have the electronic greddy boost gauge, set the mbc to about 21lbs and when I went to get the car tuned by jestr, he plugged in his laptop and said the car was only boosting about 17lbs. After the tune, the gauge was reading 26lbs, but was really 22lbs. I just ordered another greddy gauge and installed it today, hoping to get an accurate reading.. but the gauge is still reading 26lbs. I switched out the boost gauge solenoid as well, hoping that might fix it, but it's still reading off. I have the gauge tapped into the FPR line. Would any of the electrical wires have anything to do with this? Any help would be appreciated. Sean

i'm not sure on the numbers, John just said it was equivalent to about 17lbs at first.

i tried the bov line, and it is STILL reading 26lbs. Talked with John from Jestr, and he thinks the ecu might be reading lower boost pressure than the car is actually pushing. Does anybody know what would cause this?

Does the boost gauge have a MAP sensor? If so i would suggest ordering a new one or switching to a manual.

no it doesnt, it just has a boost solenoid which i replaced with the new gauge package. Still reading the same numbers though.. i don't understand why i would be getting two different readings.

yes, the greddy gauge does have a MAP sensor that sends the signal to the gauge. at least, the one in my car does.

I thought that this was the boost solenoid? one end goes to the boost source, and the other end has a connector which goes to the boost gauge itself. I changed this out and am still getting the same readings, regardless.

something isnt hooked up right. check all your wiring again. make sure your ground is good as well. i dont know to much about the greddy gauges, but if it lights up it should have a grounding wire.
