No, you will only wreck something. If you really need to hear the BOV then APS Twin would be your best bet.

jdm mr bov or stock 9 bov. good for up to 25psi. as for sound add a cone filter (of course you will get a tune for the filter though). search ssqv and you will see that not all, but most have drivability issues with the hks ssqv.

Sorry for the somewhat thread jackage, But I have a stock IX also and I was given a HKS SSQV to use for the time being. Being untuned, Will this work? Or make me stall? Should I use it. I want to hook it up if it doesn't cause me any issues. If anyone did this, let me know

your dv is plastic and most likely leaks. the jdm mr dv and the 9 dv are metal and dont cause the drivabilty issues

I have Sard R2D2 on my all stock 06 MR, and it's never given me problems. The sound is pretty cool. I understand some say it's too much of ricer or whatever, but I've been having BOV sound on my car since early 90's, and I can't stop having it!

actually the hks is one of the WORST bovs you can get for the evo. any bov really is bad besides the aps and the stock mr dv
