Painting Hood Vent?

I saw the Ralliart aluminum finish vents they are hot, but what do you guys think of painting the hood vent under the mesh?

I'm thinking of red, just like the Viper red's.

any input?

Save you time and money. Just get some paint stripper. The vent is silver - already underneath the black factory paint.

yes i know it's silver color, but what about red color, it will match the brembo brakes, also the head cover.

if you strip it and leave it silver then what will it match?

I would just get the Ralliart vents. Looks nicer. Not too flashy.

Id agree with evo72man. I think you should just get the ralliart vent or even the rmr carbon fiber hood scoop. I put the hood scoop on and it looks real good and also helps with air flow. In my opinion, i think it wouldnt look that great red. What color is your car?

I just repainted mine black, but here are a few tips.

1.Take the screws off before you pull out the round pins, otherwise it is difficult to get the plastic screws out.
2. use several light coats of hi-temp paint
3. put the pins in first to hold the panel in place so that the plastic screws go in easier.

Post pics when you're done!

depends on what color ur car is. there's not enough red on the car to get it to look good imo. i left mine silver after stripping it.

just dropped off the louver at the body shop today, I told the guy I wanted the top part red like the brakes, and the bottom part red like the engine head.
I figured when the hood is closed it should match the brakes and when the hood is open it should match the engine.

Now that the decision is made what do you guys think?

I will pick it up next week and then post pics.

it looks really good, the bottom has the engine cover color and the top the bright red color from the brakes.
i cant wait to install it.
