uego problem..

so i just received my aem uego from evostore.com. It was brand new in the box. I connected everything like it supposed to. took the car to a muffler shop and had the bung welded. now everything is connected but i get no reading. i get 3 dashes where the number would be and the sweep light is at 17. when i disconnect the clip that connects the o2, i get reading. as soon as i clip it back i get the same dashes. someone please help. this is driving me crazy. ive spent all day routing wires and such for all my gauges and now this. thanks

I'm not sure about the AEM but I had an NGK wideband in my previous car and that had to be calibrated before running the car.

Does the AEM need to be calibrated and if so did you do that? (calibration requires you to leave the o2 out of the exhaust while adjust the unit).

could be a faulty sensor, where did you put the bung? how far from the turbo.

The UEGO needs no calibration. It should work just about right away. It does take a moment for it to warm up though.

Just becauseit says full lean does not mean it is not working. It may be reading correctly. Any leak in the exaust prior to the O2 sensor can let air in and it will show lean.

What does the UEGO say at WOT after your car is warmed up?

no readings at all. the bung is mounted at the end of the DP just before the test pipe. in the 3 oclock position.

I have the UEGO, but I connected mine past the test pipe. The three dashes mean it can't get a reading because it is too lean.
