Brand new to the Site....Considering to buy an EVO.

Whats up guys? I'm on TITANTALK.com, a fourm that is probably run by the same server this fourm runs on. Very similar format. As of right now I drive a Nissan TITAN and it has an CAI/Cat-back/Timing Advance/F&R sway bars/and Rancho shocks. Its my baby, my pride and joy. I've always been a car guy and will joining the armed services soon here and looking down the road at a high preformance car without the cost of an arm and a leg. I like the Subaru STI's but they are pigs and they are expensive, you can't find one with 15K miles under $30K. But I've always dreamed of owning an Evolution. I know the newer MR's are close to $30K's but I'm not the guy to buy the loaded models. I'm considering the Evolution 8 or 9, or the RS model....used. RS Evo's run close to $25K under 4K miles on them and I find them a good bargin for what you get. With the money I save, I will spend on go fast goodies to catch GTO's and Mustang GT's off guard. As for my truck, I'm not trading it in, I'm gonna use it to tow my car to the track....see....trucks are used for something too. I'm happy to join this fourm and looking forward to becoming a future Evo family member. Thanks.

so do you have a question?

unless you plan to do some serious work on your evo...you can drive it to the track throw down and drive it home

that's the beauty of it

Definitely Get an Evo IX RS or SE. Or try finding some used VIII's on this forum that sell for like 18-20K, Good luck and welcome to EvoM.
That's a clean truck and looks very nice as well.
cheers

I'm not doing any serious work on the car. I want it to be more of an everyday driver that can run low 12's. I'm pretty sure thats not hard to get to without doing any serious mods. I don't want to sacrifice too much reliability for preformance. In the tuning world, its either one or the other. I'm trying to search for a median. I'm seeing some pretty good setups here and while looking for a car, I'm already planning for its future.
