keyless remote helppppp

I dont know what is wrong with my keyless remote. It doesnt work anymore. I replaced the battery and nothing. I changed out my clutch and when I tried to open my doors after this with the remote it didnt work. i put in the right battery in the remote and nothing. Maybe I disconnected something but I dont know. Any help. I dont want to pay for another remote and programming. thanks guys

I don't know about the Evo, but both of the cars I've owned with remote keys had a way to train them to the car. it's possible that when you had the battery out, your key fob lost its training and isn't synced with your car. Check your owner's manual.

If it's not in there, try holding down both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for 10 seconds or so while standing next to the driver's side door.

any more ideas. that is a good one i will try today. but i think you have to program it somehow. this sucks

well that last technique didnt work, so what else can i do. i do not want to go to the dealer, they suck so bad

I work at a Porsche dealership and our remotes do this sometimes. This may not work, take and reverse the battery polarity on the Mits remote and hold one of the buttons down for about 3 seconds then flip the battery back to normal polarity. This clears the small cpu in the remote. On the Porsche cars it works right away when this is the problem. On your car you might have to reprogram when done but it's a worth a try.
