Apexi Avc r Placement

I've very interested in purchasing this since it seems to be the best of the best when it comes to controlling boost.

I like to keep my interior simple and stock looking and before i order it i need a place to put it.

Right now the best i can think of is on top of the steering wheel. Does anybody have the exact measurments of the unit so i can make a little box about the same size to play around with to see where i'll place it.

The other spot i've though about putting it is integrating it into the cuddy hole in the dash.

I dont want to stick it to the dash or on the center console. Looks out of place...

If you guys could post some pics of where you have that or the safc controller since i believe theyre the same size that would be great.

Or if some1 could post the measurments.

Thanks!

Iv'e got the profec and wanted to put it in they little tray below and to the left of the sterring wheel. No luck though, unit was too big. So I put it on the steering column. It's perfect for me so I can keep an eye on it. Wherever you decide to put it, make sure your vacuum line don't get kinked.

I have the AVCR in the cubby below the radio, its a tight fit but it looks like it belongs there. I had to mod the mounting bracket slightly, and I also had to "shave" the inside of the cubby because it has like a thin felt liner on the bottom of it. I can post picks later if you like.

awesome!

I've never seen this thing in person, so i didnt know how big it is....

If you could take a couple pics, even if its with a cell phone that would be great, quality doesnt have to be amazing.

A close up like couple feet from the dash striaght on would be great

and another from the driver seat as if you were looking over at it.

Thanks man!

I have the greddy ebc and tt right now and i have it mounted below the cubby hole on that slant. It looks clean, which is my goal...

The ebc quit on me so i've just been using it as a boost gauge since it reads less than .5 pounds off the jdm map sensor and defi gauge i had it compared with.

I'm not sure if i should stick with the greddy because i really liked it, or if i should upgrade since i can get a the greddy ebc for 300 on ebay or the apex for 395.

Only a $100 difference when on paper the apexi seems to blow the greddy out of the water.

Cheers!

if you have a seperate boost gauge, just stick it in the glove box. you dont want anybody playing with your settings anyways. otherwise, I would install it below the radio as mentioned before. I have defi gauges, so mine rests in the glove box. never need to mess with it except for when the wife drives

Out my EBC in the sunglass holder. Works great, closes fine and if I don't want to look at it all the time ar night I just close it up. The AVC-R is actually almost the same size as my EBC:

Then I put my Zeitronix wideband in the little cubby hole below the radio.
