I have a 06 Evo IX that recently developed a weird sound when it starts to create boost...kind of like a louder normal turbo wooshing sound, but alot louder than normal. Car runs fine and holds boosts fine, but just now had a really loud airy boost sound and is very annoying...Checked all intake before turbo and exhaust after the turbo and everything checks out. Only mods are MBC, FMIC, K&N and TBE. Any suggestions of where to start or what to check out? Hate to drive the car not knowing what is wrong and with a weird sound. Also checked turbo inlet and no check engine light.
