Twisted wiper arm?!
Twisted wiper arm?!
It's raining here in Texas. A'lot.
I'm going down the access road, and am about to pass a car on the left side to get around a huge puddle of mud-water. I don't think they noticed it themselves, since they didn't slow down--but they hit the puddle just as I was about to pass them. A wave of water comes up and over the car, clearing and completely covering the windshield.
Given that I was going around 60 to pass them, I thought the car was going to lose it or I was going to go into the ditch along my left side, but when the mud settled I ended up in the middle lane, in front of the car that just caused the wave of mud.
The car was fine, I was fine, and went about my way. Then my windshield wiper turns on again--and the driver's side wiper blade is pointing UPWARDS?! To eliminate any further damage I turn off the wipers and grope my way home.
When I got into the garage I found that the actual wiper ARM was twisted! The cheap plastic blade was fine, but the metal wiper arm gets twisted from a rush of water?! WTF kind of quality is that?
I've managed to bent it back enough so that the blade is sitting as it should on the windshield for the time being. Called the dealership and they didn't have any in stock. I ordered one but it's like $40 dollars!
Anyone have a wiper arm they can spare?
