Hows it going everyone,
So i took the jump and traded in my 05 wrx (which was my favorite car and in which i dropped about 5k in mods) for a Dark Grey 05 Evo Mr (22,000 miles). I've always liked the evo's, since the IV, and really like the impreza as well, and am adjusting to the difference, mainly exhaust note . So i have a couple of questions, i am finding out slowly that the previous owner had some mods done that i was unaware about and hence probably drove the car pretty hard, but after searching seem like reasonable mods to do. First one was a blitz electronic boost controller (the $600 one) was easy to spot, then on hot days and after stepping on it i've found a, i'm pretty sure, walbro fuel pump as i can hear an electronic whine now and then (not t case whine though). I would normally be happy but, it also needed a new waterpump and clutch right outa the gate. So the only problem i have is should i take everything off and get about 5k of warranty soundness then put the mods back on or should i put a little extra dough now, for the exhaust and tune and the 300 whp which was my ultimate goal in the wrx, untill i realized it would cost me about another 5k. anyways, good to find forums like this, (cheers nasioc ) and just wondering what people who've been working on and driving Evo's would do.

also what the hell is the stock guage's measurement (kg/cmSquared)??? i'm pretty sure its bar, and if so my boost controller is set at .65 bar which is only 9.4 psi?!?! is this correct?? if what i'm reading is correct i can crank this sucker safely up to 17 psi (1.17 bar)

my boost guage has been at only .65 bar the whole time, i've been romping around pretty much on half boost and been pretty happy dagnabbit, i'm gonna go crank it up to 18 and cross my fingers for no boom.
