let it breath but how?

ok Q for you guys.

Ported stock manifold by pairadime performence? OR Megan Tubular headers?

The ported manifold is a little cheaper but im not consernd with expensise i just want the most performence. Also i have heard storys of the Megan headers cracking any one else experience that?

And if i do go with the megan headers any recomendations on where i can get the best deal?

Also will i feel/see a difernece with the modification?

If you could just give me some input that would be great. all the info i can get.

05 Evo MR
TBE and K&N dropfilter.

I have the megan racing. Had it for almost a year now and no cracks. I have heard alot of guys praise the ported stocker but I haven't seen one yet that has impressed me. I installed a few ported ones and the material removed from the porting was minimal at best. The gains on the megan are not alot. The piece is pretty nice for 200 bucks. Just don't buy the XS power junk off of ebay. If it's alot of power your looking for, the money can be well spent on something else.

if you run headers, what exhaust do you plan to run? I have heard good things about the megan set up.

What do you suggest spending the money on?

I plan on getting a tune later this fall but the closest tuning shop is 8 hours away so i wana get all my mods on the car before i have it tuned. im looking to make 350 Whp but im not sure how to get there.

I figured a ported manifold would be my next mod. considering i dont want to tune just yet. i plan on getting an intake and IC pipes before then.

It's called an exhaust manifold. Not "headers". And if we had "headers" it would be "header" because we only need one. A "header" or "headers" are used for naturally aspirated engines.

Boost controller, fuel pump, I/C pipes with a cone filter like the Injen kit just to name a few. What you should do is buy these parts but don't install them. Then when you have evrything you need, install them at once and drive straight over to get tuned.

There was a good O2 housing on ebay for that price. I don't see the vendor on there anymore. It was the same exact one as the Megan Racing. I don't know of any other good O2 housings on ebay anymore.

The port would probably be cheaper and of course wouldn't have problems with cracking. But, I couldn't tell you who does the best work. I've seen 3 ported manifolds from 3 different vendors and all 3 of them sucked. I'm not going to say who's they were and start a big conflict. Everyone says they're the greatest but I haven't seen any proof. I'd take my chances on the Megan.
