Hello, all! New guy here...
Hello! I'm new to the forums and wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'll be picking up a white '06 IX this Friday that has SSL and 10,000 miles. I've been looking around a bit on these forums and have liked what I have seen. I'm coming from a 2000 VW GTi 1.8T with APR Stage 3 turbo kit, AP brake kit, 19" wheels, etc (http://siteofsteve.net/pics/gti/sale/). It was a pretty good performer for a front drive. I used to have an '01 Audi S4 and really miss all wheel drive. I finally pulled the trigger on what I want - the Evo that I'm picking up in two days. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.
I look forward to learning a lot about these cars and hopefully making some friends!

Thanks for all the kind words, people. And thank you for the comment on the GTi, SilverShadow. I didn't do all the work on that car, but I am pretty proud of the outcome (especially what I contributed). The Evo will make me much happier, I suspect. I'll be sure to post pics when I get the new car home! :-)

Welcome man. Since you live in Mentor (I grew up in Cleveland) you won't be too far from the guys at Buschur Racing. They sell top-notch products and are regarded as one of the best Evo tuners out there. You're lucky you live by them!
Don't forget to change out all the fluids on the car when you get it. Lord only knows what crap is in it right now...

nice gti man!!! i was in the same boat. I have a 95 sc vr and drove my friends 01 s4 and loved the awd. So i bought a 04 evo. That awd just pulls and pulls. My gti just spins 1 2 and start to grab in 3rd. the evo smokes the gti off the start but then when it hooks up it smokes the evo. I even have the peliquin lsd. You will love it. When you get it talk to chris at mellon tuning you will notice night and day power added well i did on my 04 good luck to you man any pix of ya ride yet?
